In response to requests from our customers, we decided to share with you more content about the world of gemstones. Periodically, I will post here and through our social media a curation of gemstones! I would love to hear your feedback at the end!
Like any good gem dealer, over time we develop feelings for some specific gemstones. I have a passion for aquamarines. As a diver, I fell in love with the ocean when I was a teenager (by the way, I also learned everything about free diving with my dad). Because of that, the blue of the aquamarines make me feel at home!
Today my inspiration came from a rare gemstone: a princess cut of 13,51 cts. To cut a stone like that definitely is a privilege. It’s a loop clean and hand cutted with 15 mm. Can you imagine how beautiful a coquetel ring would be with this rarity?
Facts about Aquamarine:
- Aquamarine is a variety of mineral beryl and its colors range from blue to slightly greenish.
- It is the March birthstone.
- Aquamarine comes from two Latin words: aqua, which means “water”, and marine, which means “from the sea”.
- It’s an excellent gift option for your 19th wedding anniversary.
In addition to this extremely rare specimen, when we talk about aquamarine, there are other shapes desired by high end jewelry. The oval and octagonal shape is always in demand for necklaces and bracelets. The pear shape is perfect for earrings of different sizes.
